Kids are to arrive 5 minutes before class time. Doors will be locked after class time begins.
Parents are permitted in the Centre to watch their child’s class through the viewing windows.
When your child goes for their grading ceremony (which is when they get their next belt) there is a $50 fee.
How does Tae Kwon Do help children learn to focus better?
The curriculum for each belt level contains many components. There are different kicks, punches, self defence techniques, conditioning and patterns. To learn them takes concentration and memorization. In a structured class setting, each child must focus in order to learn.
Our Instructors are sensitive and caring. They do hope, however, to have respect and effort from their students. This entails good listening skills which is beneficial to focusing.
Uniforms
Students must come dressed in their uniforms and leave in their uniforms. There will be no access to change rooms.
All students are required to wear grip socks. (Similar to or trampoline socks)
How does Tae Kwon Do help with school yard bullying?
Sadly, bullying is inevitable. No mom or dad wants their child to feel scared or down about themselves. Every parent feels frustrated and would love to solve their child’s problems at school. Unfortunately, we must trust in children’s ability to cope and solve their own conflicts. Children will learn, in a safe and friendly atmosphere, how to defend themselves physically, but, more importantly, they’ll gain a truer sense of self-confidence that will allow them to make confident choices and resolve their issues with greater ease.
Ages 4-5 Classes on Tuesday & Thursday’s from 6:00 - 6:45pm
Ages 6-8 Classes on Tuesday & Thursday’s from 6:00 to 6:45pm
Ages 9-12 Classes on Tuesday & Thursday’s from 7:00 to 7:45pm
Teens & Adults - Classes Tuesday & Thursday’s from 8 to 9pm.
Classes are twice per week. For new students only before optional registering for the school year.
Instructors will give uniforms before class time.
